Psychotherapies (Supervised) is not an open-entry course. It is for those already working or training in mental health, as it involves supervised clinical learning inside a real psychiatric hospital.

WHY THIS COURSE
Understanding therapeutic models on paper is not the same as applying them with a real person, in a real setting, with a supervisor guiding you. This course addresses that gap directly.
Approaches learned as concepts, never practised under expert guidance.
Few programmes provide a genuine clinical environment with supervision in which to learn.
Practitioners may know the model but feel unsure how to apply it safely and appropriately with real clients.
CCT, CT, BT, REBT, and family and group therapy: taught as an integrated, supervised programme.
Learn within a real psychiatric setting, under experienced clinical supervision at every stage.
Develop genuine competence in applying approaches appropriately under guidance: not from a textbook alone.
APPROACHES COVERED
An integrated, supervised programme across the core therapeutic models.
Foundations of the therapeutic relationship and cognitive approaches, applied under supervision.
Behavioural and rational-emotive approaches, with supervised case application.
Systemic and family-focused approaches to assessment and intervention.
Group-based therapeutic approaches and facilitation, under supervision.
Indicative structure; full outline confirmed at enrolment. All practice is supervised in-hospital.
YOUR CREDENTIAL
Issued by SMCI on completion of the supervised programme and its clinical requirements.
What gives the certificate its authority is that the training took place inside a real psychiatric hospital, under experienced supervision.
Strengthens the applied capability of those already qualified or in training in the field.
